A general purpose rivet that can be used where the materials to be fastened does not require load bearings. These rivets are also known widely as “pop” rivets because of the popping sound they make during installation. Open-end blind rivets provide an economical means for fastening disassembly parts . The bodies of all our open-end blind rivets are fabricated by cold-heading, offering superior strength and excellent appearance.

Blind rivets provide a way to join parts together when you don't have access to both sides. They consist of a rivet (a hollow body with a head) and a mandrel (a thin nail with a bulb end). Rivets require a setting tool for installation. Riveted joints are strong, tight, and extremely reliable. How to install a blind rivet. Insert the rivet through a hole that passes through both materials being joined. Using a rivet tool with the same size nosepiece as the rivet diameter, grip the mandrel and pull the trigger or lever. The tool pulls the mandrel through the rivet, deforming the rivet's body and breaking off the excess mandrel.

Rivets can be used in numerous applications with low load bearing applications. Rivets are handy where access at the back of the work piece is restricted or not accessible.


Dome head:The standard head style is dome which is suitable for most applications.

CSK head:A countersunk rivet is used primarily on metal surfaces where a flush appearance is required.

Flange:Large flange rivets are particularly suitable for fastening softer materials (wood or plastic, for example) to metal.

Steel rivets: Low-carbon steel is most often used in projects that require good rivet formability because these rivets give more clinch-over in your application. High-carbon steel, on the other hand, is used when the strength and hardness of the rivet is of the utmost importance, such as in locomotive manufacturing. They actually gain more strength as they are clinched during installation. The formability of these types of rivets is lower, however, and they’re hardened more than low-carbon rivets at production.

Copper rivets: Copper’s natural corrosion resistance makes it well suited for application areas that experience high humidity or regular water contact.Copper rivets are also used for their aesthetic architectural value. The warm color and texture of copper allows for it to be used in many types of architectural projects.Copper rivets provide extremely strong and sturdy joints for the materials in which they combine.
